Updating an existing version of FYS-App is very simple, but it is different depending on the OS and the version that you are currently running.

Windows:

If you are running FYS-App v8.1 of higher that you installed with Setup-fys.exe, there is an UPDATE.bat file in the installation directory. Double-click UPDATE.bat and the Uninstaller will start. Once this is done, the script will download the latest version and install it. Next time you launch application, it will be the new version.

Unix type OS:

From the shell, change to the directory where FYS-App is installed and execute the following command:

sh ./update-fys.sh

Next time you launch application, it will be the new version.

Note: In both cases, Windows and Unix, your config file is kept. Thus, your Settings will not be lost.
