FYS-Server 4.17 has been released. The release should be transparent to FYS-App and the sense there is no need to do any changes on FYS-App to take advantage of the new server.

So, what are the changes you may ask. Well for starters, the server now runs on a standalone server which is self-contained. This allows for better operational control of the platform as well as improved performance. Also, the server is running and a brand hardware which is dedicated to running FYS-Server. This version also has the flexibility of allowing for multiple redundant servers all of them feeding the data repository. Currently is running on a single server, however in the future, there will be multiple distributed servers for higher reliability of the service.
