Ducky Soup is a very small software development outfit that produces software geared towards financial day trading.

I first conceptualized the idea of my own market scanner, around January of 2019. I developed with some basic Python scripts that were used filter stock data. At the time I thought that commercial scanners were too expensive and complex. Thus, I decided to “brew” my own scanner. The idea of a complete application beyond the scripts started in 2020 during the pandemic. By 2021 I had a very usable standalone application for creating stock watchlist. I used this application on a daily basis for my own person day trading activities. Sometime in 2022, I thought that it might be good to share my application with other traders. The idea of transforming the standalone application into a complete solution, started in late 2022. I started the duckysoup.com as a portal for distributing the application. If check out the Blog section, you can see the chronology of development of FYS-Server and FYS-App. By mid 2023 these products had reached stable release levels. Most recently we introduced FYS-Data, offering two data feed plans, Always Free and Premium.

We are still a small outfit; I do most of the work myself but occasionally I do get help from external sources and contributors.

Our goal is to offer great products at a great price. We have two completely free products, FYS-App and FYS-Data Always Free. You can’t beat that price. We hope you find value in our products and consider our FYS-Data Premium service.
